Let’s see what Aleika has designed for us for this summer vacation
Background Information:
Rishika Singh and Alex Gili grew up in world filled with a main central of fashion, makeup but most commonly, summer trends. They gained this source of knowledge through visiting some of the most fashionable cities; Copenhagen, Paris and Tokyo as their favourites. They are here to answer your questions!
Questionnaire:
1. What’s the best type of material to wear this summer?
Wear cotton instead of polyester. Polyester is such a synthetic fibre, it makes you sweat a lot more which is definitely not a look which you would want to work with.
2. I frequently get chafing when wearing my favourite skirt. What can I do to lower this?
We have been there and had that. We have tried a lot of different ways of getting rid of it from baby powder to anti chafing gel. Our cheapest and best advice is to wear shorts inside your skirt.
3. How did you create the smokey eye on the front cover last month?
We created a smokey eye which is great for any evening, especially summer! We are planning to make a tutorial on how to do it which will come out next week.
4. How do I hide my pores and not get sweaty foundation marks all over my face?
Primer is your best friend and then comes foundation to save the day. During this hot season. Not only does it hide your pores, but it also smoothens lines and banishes blemishes.
5. My hair is a sweaty mess no matter what conditioner I use. What can I do?
We would suggest you wash only the front of your hair by gathering strands into a low ponytail and wash it with shampoo and conditioner then go over with a blow dryer.
6. I really don’t want to get my hair dyed again, neither do I want to skip swimming. Help!
Not only can chlorine damage your hair, but salt and sunlight can also. If you want to extend your hair colours lifespan, apply a small amount of apple cider vinegar before you head outdoors. Works like a charm.
7. My skin is really sensitive and due to that, I have a habit of getting blisters easily.
We know how you feel, you probably want to rock those new sandals you have been saving to wear for summer all year long. Use deodorant, before shoes. Yep you heard it!
8. I don’t want to get a golden tan, it’s too expensive and the sun isn’t my thing.
Reach out for that bronzer because that long-term is cheaper. We recommend you draw a number 3 on your face in order to get the full glow effect. Try it and tweet us!
