SOFTWARE and studio lighting set up
Adobe Premiere Pro is a desktop video editing application for professionals and enthusiasts. This software lets users turn raw footage into stunning cinematic products. With Adobe Premiere Pro, editors have access to tools that enable them to do more than just basic editing. The application also gives them the means to adjust color, fine-tune audio, and more. in order to join together my clips, audios and images, I will use this as I have a lot of experience using this app.

In order to have the basic three-point studio lighting, we need to focus on getting the key light, fill light and hair light on point.
Key Light A key light is your main light. It’s “the cornerstone of your lighting setup,” and you’ll most often only be using one of them for your shoot. All of your metering efforts will begin with the key light, and subsequent lights are positioned and metered in relation to the key light. Fill Light The fill light is used to fill in shadows on your subject. It’s mostly used to gently fill darker areas, however, rather than totally remove a shadow. This light is metered to an equal or lower level than the key light. Hair Light The hair light provides illumination to the hair of your subject, highlighting the finer details of the image. It’s also useful when you have a dark subject on a dark background, as highlights help to separate the subject from the background. Subsequently, you may hear this light referred to as a “separation light,” or even a “kicker light.” |
location
Since we have a limited budget and also have 6 actors and actresses to film, I felt as the optimal location to shoot the advertisement would be at British School Muscat. This not only saves us a lot of money making it our main production site, but it's also effective as most teenagers are in school so the school vibe would be relatable with most of the potential people it's directed to.

The BBFC uses published Classification Guidelines for certain age ranges, ensuring that the content of the film is age appropriate and that children or young people do not see films that are unsuitable for them.
The BBFC Classification Guidelines are based on regular research with the public and updated every 4-5 years. The research involves more than 10,000 people from across the UK, including teenagers. The Classification Guidelines are available on the BBFC website.

The official bsm news template
The official BSM news background has been created by a previous student named Ben Vacher. Ever since, this has become part of the BSM news codes and conventions. To create the background you have to use the BBC News background as a template. This can be done by first downloading the BBC News background. I then opened up the new file in Premiere Pro and continued editing as I normally would but just included this in my background so it has adds a professional aesthetics to the overall piece.
Storyboard
Due to the 2020 Corona Virus outbreak, I could not get access to a printer and print off storyboard sheets. As a result, I decided to use Holly Salts storyboard as this closely mimics my overall production.
