Slide 1:
Hello, My name is Cynthia Van Es and I’m the Official owner of VanXFilms. In this slideshow, I will explain my new documentary which I will be working on featuring Oman. After you read my presentation, you will gain a high quality understanding of what to expect to see which focuses purely on tourist attractions and activities which are surrounded in Oman. If you have any inquires, do not hesitate to contact us.
Slide 2:
In regards to your invitations to submit a 30 minute television documentary on the Sultanate of Oman, I hereby will take on the task to showcase the top 5 of the most positive and beautiful tourist destinations along with 5 hotels to rest. I will bring them to light for all of our audience members to watch and enjoy. I will be capturing footage of Muscat through the eyes of the public focusing mainly on different areas which are interested by tourists. As you may know, the Arabian Peninsula a tourist attraction overlooked by many of travelers in the hope to visit these exotic destinations. So if they are thrilled by the incredible mountain ranges, the warm beaches throughout the year or even the Wadi’s, my documentary would help make them realise why this country should be next in their travel guide.
Slide 3:
Right, So what are our main focus zones?
Slide 4:
While going around Oman to capture footage, I will be going to attend Mutrah Souq, The Opera House, Qurum Beach, Jebel Shams and lastly, Al Qurum Park. Let me tell you a little more about these specific locations.
Let's start with Mutrah Souq.
Slide 5:
A Lot of people come all the way to Mutrah Corniche specially for the traditional Arabic market which is made by timber roofing. Here you get the chance to meet Omani men and women who together with Indians sell antiques such as traditional jewellery, clothes, textiles and hardware. This is the perfect occasion for our audience to interact with the locals while buying gifts and souvenirs to bring back home.
Slide 6:
Next, I will talk about The Opera House. It is one of the most beautiful structures created by the same architects which built the grand mosque. This is a great place overall, not just to look at the beautiful arabesque design but also to witness some of the world's most famous actors and actresses performing live in their theater with a live orchestra to accompany them.
Slide 7:
The Third place I will talk about is Qurum Beach, This would mainly be targeted towards people who aim to relax or families with children. I would talk about the beautiful scenery which you can see when you go here and the nearby food outlets and cafe’s for the people who love a snack or Starbucks for the Starbucks lovers.
Slide 8:
Second last goes out for all the tourists who seek not only for leisure, but also adventure incorporated within it. Shout out to Oman's highest mountain which reaches 3009m. This is one of the best places to talk about as we can talk about the ‘Grand Canyon of Arabia’ with its exposed vertical cliffs which reach 1000m and more
Slide 9:
Lastly, I will talk about Al Qurum National Park which similar to Qurum Beach is all about relaxation. This park is filled with different things to do such as taking a stroll along the pathways, horseback riding, having a picnic while your children go play in the playing ground or even the theme park which is built within the park itself.
Slide 10:
Moving on, What about hotels?
Slide 11:
Now, the only thing left besides all this awesome destinations would be a place to stay. In this documentary, I have also researched of the most highest rated or popular hotels and I will include them within the documentary. I will cover hotels such as Al Bustan Palace, Shangri-La Resort, InterContinental, The Grand Hyatt and Radisson Blu Hotel which I chose purposely as they have different prices so it’s more accessible towards different social classes meaning they still would have interest within our documentary.
Slide 12:
As a result, we need to know who we are dealing with arn't we? So who is our target audience?
Slide 13:
On the screen, you can see a demographics table. Demography is a study which is conducted from human beings in order to understand their social class. In this case, it helps determine who is able to relate more personally with our documentary. On our chart, I would say from the information which will be provided in the documentary, the more interested social class would be C2 and above. This is because there is a lot of cheaper options as well as expensive leaving a broader range of choice and open minded opinions on the video which they are watching, keeping them interested.
Slide 14:
On other hand, we have to take into consideration elements found in a psychographic table. Psychographics is also conducted from human beings but instead of describing their social class, it talks about their physiological attributes. It studies people's values, interests, personality & attitude seeing how it links in with their lifestyle .On our chart, I would say the people who would most likely be more interested in this documentary would be the Succeeders, the Reformers and Explorers as they seem more longing for that sense of freedom, experience and challenge.
